Join Epic Renewal to learn about Bokashi fermentation – explore Epic Renewals indoor composting process, and then learn how to apply the method yourself at home! This class is held indoors, rain or shine.

This workshop focuses on the traditional Bokashi method, which uses bacteria, yeast, and other beneficial microorganisms to ferment food waste. This user-freindly fermentation process makes breakdown faster and is apartment-friendly!

You can learn more about bokashi composting here.

Epic Renewal is at 23 Acorn Street, Unit 11C, inside the interior parking lot/courtyard. You can park on Acorn Street, and follow signs for Epic Renewal through the archway into the courtyard.

What to Bring:

  • Supplies for making bran: An airtight container that can hold at least 4 cups.
  • (optional) If you want to make a fermenter: Bring two buckets that fit easily inside one another and a tight-fitting lid, and we’ll help you drill the necessary drainage holes and add a spigot! Check with local food service businesses if you want to upcycle!
