Epic Renewal recently received the $10,000 Agriculture/Food/Land Use Prize sponsored by the Sire Foundation at the 18th annual Cleantech Open Northeast Accelerator Awards in Brooklyn, New York.

According to Cleantech Open, "With nearly 50 companies competing for top prizes, this year’s competition had the highest participation of any contest in its history – a reflection of the surging momentum in innovation, entrepreneurialism, and demand for capital in the cleantech sector... The focus of 2023 was on environmental equity: fair access to climate solutions; workforce diversity; regulatory and policy advocacy; and fostering a strong climate-focused business community."

Epic Renewal was selected to participate in the accelerator program throughout the Summer of 2024 to further develop its business strategy for Epic Compost Management, the first software as a service information management system for compost production, developed by, with, and for community composters. Epic Renewal's software will track complex composting processes and impact data, leveraging this mission-critical information to enable composters to improve operations and build a foundation for growth.

We are so grateful to have been a part of such an excellent program and fantastic, inspiring cohort. Looking forward to seeing all of the incredible positive change our cohort-mates will create!
